What we offer
Teen Team
If you're tired of heading home after school and just scrolling and hearting other people's experiences, join like minded peers for fun and food to make an impact on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:30 in our main office at MES, 18150 N. Altera Parkway.
Tween Team
This pilot program takes Space Camp Cadet graduates and provides them opportunities to use the skills they learned in Space Camp and use them to make their campus better.
Space Camp
Be Awesome Space Camp provides an engaging after-school program for 3rd to 5th graders, offering training in 10 universal life skills through evidence-based curriculum. Led by prevention specialists and teen mentors, the immersive sessions are currently available at select schools and programs.
Awesome Families
Be Awesome family workshops address rising threats to family connections, fostering communication and bonds through the Clifton Strengths model. Suitable for anyone aged 9 and over, these weekly three-week sessions include dinner, childcare, Clifton Strengths Assessments, and guidance to enhance relationships and communication within families.
Education Nights
Be Awesome's Education Nights provide vital insights for parents on topics such as drug prevention, internet safety, and violence prevention. Enjoy complimentary dinner and childcare while staying informed about threats to your children's well-being.
Community Events
Be Awesome's Family Events create a positive space for Maricopa residents to connect at inclusive gatherings like Friendsgiving and themed nights, while Teen Events offer vetted and enjoyable experiences for teens, including dances and sports tournaments.
Teen Internships
Discover competitive part-time job opportunities for local teens at Be Awesome. Our interns gain entry-level job skills, advanced learning opportunities, and mentorship from founders, contributing to the planning and execution of prevention activities, leadership initiatives, and community programs.
